For years Fuji Instax films enjoyed global popularity in only two formats: Instax Mini and Instax Wide. That all changed in 2017 when Fuji added the Instax Square format to its Instax lineup of cameras and film.
Instax Square Color film behaves exactly like its Instax Mini and Instax Wide counterparts. It is an ISO 800 color negative film that is daylight balanced for accurate and true-to-life colors when used outdoors. The exposed frames develop in under two minutes, which can seem blazingly fast when compared to the developing times of current Polaroid films. Furthermore, Instax Square Color is characterized by rich, vibrant, crisp colors and great consistency from shot to shot. The developed image measures 62mm x 62mm on a 72mm x 85.6mm print, with a bit more border at the bottom of the print compared to the top. In other words, Fuji Instax Square is meant to closely resemble the look of traditional Polaroid 600 and SX-70 films, even if the result is a tad smaller overall.
