We do! Specifically, we only work on film cameras and lenses. A list of common cameras we can refurbish includes: Pentax K1000, Pentax MX, Pentax Spotmatic, Minolta SRT series, Minolta X700, Nikon F2, Nikon F3, Nikon FM, Nikon FE, Nikon FM2, Nikon FM2n, Nikon Nikkormat, Olympus OM1, Canon AE1 and AE1 Program, Canon FTB.
We also work on lenses, including large format lenses fitted with shutters.
There are a number of cameras not on the above list that we can fix up and repair, so if you don't see your camera please get in touch with us and we can give you an answer.
Most manual-focus single-lens-reflex cameras of this type can be tuned and conditioned for a general overhaul rate of $195 (with some "pro" cameras coming in closer to $265). This service includes lubrication, shutter speed adjustment, meter calibration, and fresh pads and seals. The camera is then returned to you, ready to shoot, and warranted for one full year.
Due to our large backlog, please expect approximately three months for turnaround time.
Nope! Not at all. Simply drop your camera off with us, or mail it in, and we will get in our queue. We can usually provide an estimate on the spot as to repair costs. If our tech needs to re-estimate your camera we will get in touch with you about the new repair costs prior to doing any work. You can decline an estimate at any point and there is no cost to you.
Yes and no. We offer a service that replaces the original leatherette covering of your camera with a new one. There are several different styles and colors available for this service. Not all cameras are available for this service though and it is best to contact us with the make and model of your camera first.
We do not recoat or repaint customer cameras at this time. There are several risks involved with this process and since we cannot guarantee success with the recoating process it is best we don't put your valuable camera at risk.
Our general rate for the overhaul of manual, mechanical typewriters is $100.00. Due to a significant backlog, our turnaround time is at least three months, from the time a typewriter arrives at our door until it's ready to go back out into service.
This figure is a general estimate which proves accurate for the refurbishment of most machines. In the event of a higher estimate, or any other unusual circumstances, we will be happy to discuss the particular details. If the new estimate proves cost prohibitive, we will be happy to return the typewriter, un-repaired, with no charge for the estimate. This system works very well for the vast majority of our repairs, which arrive at, or below, estimate.
Calling us on the phone and sending us photos of your machine can help us provide you with an even more accurate quote before you visit us or ship in your machine.
