This is a really good question. The short answer is "it depends" but here is a short list of items we do not consign:

Digital cameras, lenses and accessories
Inexpensive accessories such as filters, aftermarket teleconverters, cases, or any other items less than $50 in value.
Typewriters
Darkroom enlargers
Expired film
Obsolete equipment without collectible value such as Polaroid peel-apart cameras, obsolete folding or box cameras, etc.
Equipment in extremely poor functional or cosmetic condition.

We do not consign digital cameras, lenses or other equipment. We focus on our strength: film cameras and equipment. Digital cameras are not something we sell. Some Nikon and Canon lenses can be used on film cameras and are accepted but we try to not consign Nikon DX or Canon EF-S lenses.

We don't consign anything that isn't worth at least $50 and we typically won't open consignments for only 1-2 $50 value items. So no filters or miscellaneous camera accessories such as aftermarket teleconverters and the like.

We do not consign typewriters or darkroom enlargers except for very rare occasions. Typically these items need full overhauls in order to be saleable. We will purchase these items outright but do not pay much for them. Please enquire for further details regarding typewriters or darkroom enlargers.

Obsolete equipment that does not have significant collectible value. Think Polaroid cameras that rely on the peel-apart film that has not been made in several years. Or Kodak box cameras that use 122 film or other obsolete formats that are not available any longer. These cameras have no functional use and also lack any collectible value.

Equipment in extremely poor condition. If a camera shows heavy signs of mildew or water damage odds are it is not repairable and not worth consignment. If a lens has heavy fungus it is likely not repairable and not consignable. If a piece of equipment is missing important parts it is likely not worth consignment.
