A traditional, silver gelatin B&W darkroom has been a part of Blue Moon Camera's identity since we opened our doors in 2001. We offer a full selection of darkroom printing services from contact sheets to large prints. This is all done the old fashioned way: by red safelights, enlarger and trays of chemistry.
B&W Darkroom Prints

We offer printing on both RC (resin coated) paper as well as fiber-based silver gelatin paper. RC paper offers a more economical printing option that produces classic black and white darkroom prints. Fiber papers are a thicker, heavier paper with greater tonal depth and superb archival qualities. If you need prints for a gallery, museum, the Library of Congress, or just want a beautiful artifact that will last longer than the home you hang it in, fiber printings are the most beautiful things to come out of the darkroom.

Archival, Museum-level Printing

Our darkroom printing is full service. Printing includes dodging and burning, custom cropping, split toning, and hand spotting of dust from final prints. We work to HABS criteria meaning your prints are done in as archival a means as possible. We have done printing for the Library of Congress as well as various museum collections.
