The Fuji Hi! Mickey Mouse, circa 1989, is an incredibly simple 35mm point-and-shoot camera that is branded with Disney's classic Mickey Mouse character. They were commonly found in department stores in Tokyo and are somewhat uncommonly found outside of Japan. The camera has fixed focus and a fixed shutter speed of 1/100th. The lens is also a fixed Fujinon 35mm f/9.5. The camera has a built-in flash that can either be always on or always off. It is based off the Fuji Bene series of cameras.

Hi! Mickey Mouse
Hi Mickey!
Over the decades, the famous Disney mouse has graced the front of more than a few cameras, including this Hi! Mickey Mouse compact Fuji camera. The Hi! Mickey Mouse is based off the Fuji Bene (aka FZ-5) and is a basic point-and-shoot camera. It has a fixed 35mm f/9.5 lens and a standard 1/100th of a second shutter speed. Focus is also fixed. It really is your 35mm Mickey Mouse equivalent of the Holga.
This camera belongs to our friend Marcus, who is often collecting oddball cameras and bringing them in to share with us. He had intended to stop by and show off his Chinon Bellami, but his wife encouraged him to also bring out the Mickey Mouse camera to show us. Perhaps our favorite part of the story is that Marcus took the camera on a trip to Disneyland recently. How appropriate is that?
