Ferrania's P30 film is a low ISO, fine grained, panchromatic emulsion based on a hand-written formula dating back to 1958. The manufacture of the film is a result of Ferrania's effort to rekindle their production lines and, again, produce a color positive film. Meanwhile, P30 is known for its smooth grain, high contrast, and dramatic look - emulating that film noir vibe. It has deep shadows and a silvery luminescence to its upper midtones and highlights (as long as they don't blow out too much). It is a fun film to work with but requires some degree of experimentation to get the hang of it.
