The original Agfa APX 100 film was discontinued in 2006. It was a highly regarded black and white emulsion known for its exceptional latitude, fine grain, smooth look, and beautiful tonality. It should not be confused with the modern AgfaPhoto APX films, which have been reported to be repackaged Kentmere films (along with other emulsions). Agfa Agfapan APX was a slower speed film that could be used for a wide variety of subject matter. It had a softer contrast and wide tonal range but still managed a rich look. If you are looking for a similar, modern equivalent, try using Adox Silvermax - though this option is available only in 35mm.
