Moskva-2

The Moskva-2 (Moscow-2) is a medium format folding rangefinder camera made by the Krasnogorsk Mekhanicheski Zavod (KMZ) between 1947 and 1956. The design is based on the Zeiss Super Ikonta C and the camera makes eight 6x9cm exposures using 120 roll film.  For its time, the Moskva-2 was a high quality, professional-grade, medium format camera and it would have been relatively common to see many a professional Soviet photographer using one of these.

For a medium format, folding camera the Moskva-2 is fairly advanced, featuring both a coupled rangefinder as well as double exposure prevention.  Several different variations of this camera were produced over its production run but most of the changes are either relatively minor cosmetic updates or changes to the shutter.  For example, the earliest Moskva-2 cameras are found with Compur shutters while later versions have a Moment-1 shutter. The typical lens was the Industar-23 11cm f4.5.
