Also known as the F-601, the Nikon N6006 is an autofocus SLR camera first produced in April 1990. In terms of looks and features, it is similar to the N8008 but notably has a fold-down pop-up flash built into the top housing of the camera. The N6006 also adds both focus and shutter release priority to its autofocus modes and has electronically assisted manual focus, as well as focus memory lock. The Nikon N6006 offers both automatic and manual exposure modes, with full Program, Shutter Priority and Aperture Priority turning over some or all of the exposure controls to the camera, or allowing the user to set both shutter and aperture via a metered Manual mode. Metering can be done in either Matrix, Spot or Center Weighted modes. Other features include LCD display of settings inside the viewfinder as well as on top of the camera, a built-in motor drive for automatic film advance and rewind, as well as continuous shooting (2 fps) and a threaded cable release socket in the shutter button.
