Debuted in 1955, the Super Fujica-6 was the last of a line of folding, medium format, 6x6 cameras produced by Fuji. The Super Fujica-6 improved earlier models of the Fujica-6, most notably by adding a coupled rangefinder for focusing. The camera generally is found with a Fujinar 7.5cm f/3.5 lens mounted in a Seikosha-MX shutter. A later modification of the Super Fujica-6 had a Seikosha-MXV shutter.
The film advance is semi-automatic. When loading the film, the first frame is manually lined up at a certain index point, and from there, the camera advance gears take over. The camera has double exposure prevention, but that can be easily overcome for multiple exposure work. When not in use, the Super Fujica-6 folds neatly up into a compact package of similar size and shape to the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta B cameras.
