The RBT X2II is a 35mm SLR stereo camera made by melding together two Ricoh XR-X3000 cameras, along with a pair of Pentax 28-70mm zoom lenses. The X2II retains some of the features of the original XR-X3000s, such as automatic film advance and exposure control. The camera could be purchased with different distances between the paired lenses, allowing the camera to be better suited for stereo photography at various distances. The German company, RBT, that made these cameras is no longer in business.

RBT X2II
What you are seeing here is a stereo SLR camera produced by the German company RBT - sadly, out of business since 2011. RBT took a variety of cameras (like the Ricoh XR-X3000, the Nikon FM10, the Yashica 109, and even the Zeiss Ikon M-mount rangefinder) they melded two camera bodies together to form these 35mm stereo cameras! These new and improved stereo cameras generally made 24x33mm or 24x36mm frames. RBT also produced stereo slide mounts to fit these frames. Pretty awesome stuff and naturally we oooh'd and aaaah'd when a former employee of ours, who is absolutely nuts about stereo photography, brought in this latest acquisition of his. A fun side note: this same ex-employee loves stereo so much, that he had his wedding documented on a variety of stereo cameras.
