Produced between 1907 to 1926, the Graflex 3A uses 122 roll film to make 3.25" by 5.5" postcard-format images. The Graflex 3A features a folding finder hood as well as a recessed lens hidden behind a fold-down front door. This allows the Graflex 3A to be quite compact and portable for a camera of its film format size. The camera makes use of a focal plane shutter with different tension and aperture settings achieving a number of effective shutter speeds. The lens is situated on a removable lens board, so the camera can support interchangeable lenses. Over its production run, the Graflex 3A saw a number of small revisions, such as the addition of an autographic feature through the back door of the camera. It also can be found with a number of different lenses.
