Lindsay Anastasia

Lindsay Anastasia spent the first 30 years of her life in the Chicagoland area.  There she found a passion in photography early on in childhood, with disposable cameras and a favorite toy camera shaped like a coca cola can.  She got her bachelors in Photography & Graphic Design in the cornfields of the University of Illinois in 2013, and it was there that she fell in love with black and white darkroom fine printing and shooting medium format film.

Today, she works at Blue Moon Camera scanning your film and using that aforementioned photoshop degree to ensure you get the best final product possible for your digital scans.  You can also find her regularly poking about in the darkroom at PCC where she assists credit students as a Lab Technician passing on that love of black and white printing to the next generation.

What she listens to in the darkroom: a rotation of Taylor Swift’s discography 1989 and later, The xx, and a sprinkling of 2004-2008 emo bands.

What’s in her Camera Bag: a mint Instax mini, Canon Ftb, Canon AE-1, Ricohflex Twin Lens, Canon Rebel T3i and a Canon 5D Mk II (yes she also shoots digital, shhh don’t tell anyone).

What she does in her off time:  She feeds her three cats, drinks a lot of iced lattes, and hikes in forests taking way too many photos of trees and rocks (according to the ever vanishing disk space on her computer).
