SKU: AAA0124/AG-1FLASHBULB
The AG-1 bulb was introduced in the 1950s and offered some innovations over previous bulbs. These bulbs are much smaller than other flashbulbs, allowing them to be more easily used on smaller cameras such as Minox, or 110 and 126 Instamatic cameras. The "AG" apparently stood for "all glass" as these bulbs are without a metal base and the filaments encased in a one-piece glass shell. The AG-1 produced about 500,000 lumens at its peak output (about 15ms) and was most commonly used in a 2-3" reflector with a range between 5-20 feet. As a fun side note, the AG-1 bulb was also popularly used in model rocketry to serve as a means of igniting the rocket engine.
The clear AG-1 bulb is best used with black and white films due to its warmer color temperature of about 3800°.
This listing is for a single AG-1 flash bulb.
This listing is for "New Old Stock" bulbs. While they are unused, they may vary slightly in cosmetic condition. This is for individual bulbs, but they come in a box of 12.
