Introduced in the 1960s, the Smith Corona Classic 12 is a modern mechanical portable typewriter. The Classic 12 took most of everything good in typewriter design and attempted to combine it into a single machine - with pretty good success. The Classic 12's most notable feature is the 12" platen that allows for paper to be fed in either portrait or landscape orientation (versus the 9" platen found on most other typewriters). Other nifty features include easy to use Tab and Margin set keys, a Half Space as well as Power Space key, and a 3-setting touch control for light, medium or heavy key strikers.
As with all of our typing machines, this Classic 12 has been refurbished and is being offered with a fresh ribbon. Please see functional notes as this machine has minor skipping issues.
