The Smith Corona Silent-Super is an excellent portable typewriter. Introduced in the 1950s, the Silent-Super was a higher-end version of the Smith Corona Clipper and Silent 5 models. They are equipped with many of the same features that the larger Smith Corona office (desktop) machines had but in a lighter, more portable body. The Silent-Super allows for easy, fast and consistent typing while being able to take the machine with you on weekend retreats or holiday getaways. Notable features of the Silent-Super include an interchangeable platen (used when transitioning between normal typing or stencil cutting and carbon paper typing), a Tabulator system for rapidly moving the carriage to a predetermined position, and Smith Corona's Piano Key action where the typewriter keys remain level to the typing surface and follow the motion of your fingers more naturally for less typing fatigue.
As with all of our machines, this typewriter has been fully refurbished and comes with a fresh set of ribbon and a six-month warranty.
