This Royal Quiet De Luxe is a nice example of a mid-century American-made portable typewriter. Produced for two decades between 1939-1959, the Quiet De Luxe is one of the finer typewriter machines and a favorite of author Ernest Hemingway. The Quiet De Luxe has crisp typing with quieter performance. It is also the first Royal typewriter to feature a Magic Margin mechanism.
This is an early generation of Royal Quiet De Luxe with the black crinkle paint finish and lovely chrome band highlights.
As with all of our writing machines, this typewriter has been fully refurbished and is being offered with a fresh ribbon and a six month warranty.
