The Nikon FM3A Camera is a Nikon 35mm single lens reflex film camera designed to accept Nikon manual focus lenses. This camera can use AI and AIS lenses, it however cannot use Non-AI lenses.. The Nikon FM3A has native ISO settings from 12 to 6400, plus a DX coding setting that will read the ISO directly from modern film canisters. It has a maximum flash synchronization speed of 1/250th of a second.
The Nikon FM3A has a mechanical shutter capable of firing at speeds from 1 second to 1/4000th of a second without batteries. In addition, the FM3A has an aperture-priority mode that uses the same electronic controlled shutter system as the FE and FE2. In short, this camera combines the best of the mechanical shutter system found in the FM and FM2 with the advanced metering and aperture-priority setting of the FE and FE2.
