The Leica Minilux is a premium compact 35mm camera with an excellent 40mm f2.4 Summarit lens. As with most anything bearing the Leica brand name, the Minilux is a luxurious "point and shoot" camera featuring a metal body and sliding lens cover for extra ruggedness and durability. The camera is designed primarily for autofocus use but incorporates manual focus capabilities. Likewise exposure is primarily meant to operate in Program auto exposure but the Minilux also allows an Aperture Priority mode as well. Other modes and features include an electronic self-timer, EV compensation, and built-in electronic flash.
