An historically significant camera, the Leica II was the first Leica camera to incorporate a coupled rangefinder. They were produced from 1932 until 1948 with over 30,000 being produced. The Leica II features a cloth focal plane shutter with speeds of 1/20 to 1/500 (plus Bulb), an accessory shoe atop the camera and removable base plate for bottom loading.
This is a black paint version of the Leica II with nickel hardware. Its serial number dates it to February 1932 putting it at the beginning of the production run.
