The Kodak Retina Ib is a folding 35mm rangefinder camera made by Kodak AG in Stuttgart, Germany during the 1950s. The Ib was marketed at the "economy" version of the more expensive IIC and IIIC models: it incorporates a fixed four element Schneider-Xenar 50mm f2.8 lens, while its more expensive counterparts utilize a six-element lens design. The camera has the same folding body design of other Retina models. The single stroke film advance lever is located on the base of the camera instead of the top.
This is the type 018 version of the Retina Ib: it does not include the built-in selenium cell exposure meter that was introduced in a later version of the Ib.
