The Nikon Varifocal Finder is a universal accessory finder designed to easily slip into the accessory or hot shoe of a rangefinder camera and provide accurate framing across a range of focal lengths. The Varifocal Finder Model 1 typically supported 35mm to 135mm focal lengths. It maintains the same picture size within the finder but varies the cropping/framing of the image to represent the different focal lengths. A small dial at the base can be used to calibrate for parallax at different focusing distances.
