This Nikon 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 D AF Nikkor is an autofocus zoom lens designed for Nikon film and full-frame DSLR cameras, though it works just fine on DX DSLR cameras as well. This lens has a versatile zoom range from a wide angle 28mm to moderate telephoto 105mm, while remaining fairly compact. It has a relatively complex optical design to help ensure solid performance across the zoom range. Moreover, it has a macro function that can be activated when zoomed between 50-105mm that allows the lens to focus as close as 0.7 feet (up to a 1:2 magnification at 105mm!). This lens is a great value for the price and a perfect do-everything lens for your Nikon kit. Give this one some consideration.
