This Minolta Auto Meter III is a continuation on Minolta's popular Auto Meter line of handheld light meters.  It is capable of metering both incidental and reflective ambient lighting. The Auto Meter can accept a number of disc accessories in the meter head for better customizing it to the job at hand.  In a departure from earlier Auto Meters, the Auto Meter III uses a silicon photo cell instead of CdS metering cell.

This meter requires a 4LR44 or equivalent battery for power.
