The Chinon Genesis IV is a 35mm zoom lens SLR camera, sometimes known as "ZLR". It is the last of the Chinon Genesis line of cameras. The Genesis IV features a motorized 38-135mm f4-5.6 autofocus zoom lens. Most of its features are automated and include autoexposure, autofocus, auto flash and even an auto zoom mode where the camera set the focal length it thought best for the scene. The Genesis IV also had a dual AF system utilizing both infrared as well as passive phase detection modes for insuring accurate autofocus. Cameras like the Genesis IV were targeted at advanced amateurs looking to move beyond the limitations of typical point and shoot cameras.
This camera requires one 2CR5 battery to function.
