This 500mm f5.6 Mirror lens was made by Hartblei, a soviet company which mainly produced lenses for Pentacon cameras.

Mirror lenses are handy in situations where a long lens is needed, but size and weight are also a consideration. Due to their use of mirrors instead of heavy glass optics, these lenses are a favorite of nature photographers. Mirror lenses ad a characteristic "donut" shaped bokeh to the background of the images they make.
