Introduced at the end of the 1990s, the Canon EOS 3 is an advanced, autofocus SLR camera utilizing Canon's EF lens mount. The EOS 3 took many of the best features of the previous EOS-1n, as well as additional technological improvements to create a camera that stood on its own as a new professional-grade SLR within the Canon EOS family. The EOS 3 boasts an astounding array of 45 autofocus sensors to go along with a 21 sensor array of exposure sensors to offer outstanding autofocus and metering performance. The EOS 3 incorporated Canon's Eye Control Technology, allowing focus points to track from eye movement in the viewfinder. In addition the EOS 3 has a top shutter speed of 1/8000 and a rugged shutter rated for 100,000 actuations. The EOS 3 has a variety of exposure modes, drive modes, custom functions as well as a ton of extra bells and whistles. Even by today's standards, this is still an excellent film SLR that is versatile, reliable and high-performing. This camera requires a 2CR5 battery for power.
