This Voigtlander 40mm f2 Ultron Lens for Nikon AIS is designed for Nikon cameras that use the automatic indexing. Featuring a single aspherical optic and nine blade diaphragm, this lens offers great sharpness and clarity and pleasing, smooth bokeh. Manual focus on the metal body is smooth and easy to use, and permits working with subjects as close as 9.8" away with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.
This Voigtlander lens for Nikon integrates an CPU matrix metering chip, which technically qualifies it as a rare AI-P lens mount. The Voigtländer 40mm f2 is a manual-focus lens, and has an on-board computer to work with the meters and electronics in all Nikon manual focus, autofocus and digital cameras.
