The Nikkormat FT2 is a Nikon 35mm single lens reflex film camera released in 1975. The camera offers a number of improvements over the previous Nikkormat FT, such as a standard hot shoe, a lock on the film speed setting lever and a plus/minus indicator in the exposure window on top of the camera. In addition to these improvements, the FT2 has a mechanical self-timer and a depth of field preview function. Its focal plane shutter is capable of a top speed of 1/1000 with a flash sync speed of 1/125. Nikkormat cameras are known for their reliability and durability. They are very well built and can easily last a lifetime.
The FT2 is designed to be used with Nikon Non-AI lenses, but can work with later AI lenses if they have the metal coupling prongs on the lens barrel for Non-AI
