While this lens claims to be a Carl Zeiss Jena lens it certainly is not, instead appearing to be a modern take on classic lenses. These "Carl Zeiss Jena 52mm f2 Sonnar T" lenses are available online in a variety of color schemes. This particular version is a shiny brass color. To the best of our knowledge, Carl Zeiss Jena never made a 52mm f2 Sonnar, instead opting for 50mm Sonnars. While this lens should not be mistaken for an original Carl Zeiss Jena, it still has plenty of application for modern photography. The optics appear to be multicoated and the finish is definitely pretty and eye-catching. Online reviews claim the lens has great contrast and we are willing to be it has some interesting bokeh and other optical qualities.
This lens has an M39 thread mount and will be a beautiful and potentially fun lens for your classic Leica or Canon rangefinder camera.
There is some minor rubber band residue on the lens barrel.
