This Nikon 70-210mm f4-5.6 D AF Nikkor is a relatively compact and lightweight telephoto zoom lens for Nikon autofocus SLR cameras designed to offer good performance at budget prices. It offers focal lengths ranging from 70mm out to 210mm with a variable maximum aperture that scales from f4 at 70mm to f5.6 at 210mm. It has two separate rings for independent zoom and focus control and can focus as close as 3.9ft (1.2m).
This is the D version of this lens, introduced in 1993 with updated electronic contact points for the lens to interface with 3D metering controls of the N90 and later cameras. It remained optically unchanged from the earlier non-D versions of this lens.
This lens has a 62mm filter thread.
