This Nikon Speedlight SB-25 is a TTL flash dedicated to Nikon autofocus cameras. It was release in 1992 alongside the new Nikon N90 camera and designed to offer improved TTL capabilities to match that cameras advancements in metering and exposure. The new generation of Nikon AF SLR cameras offered advancements such multi-segment evaluative TTL flash metering, matrix fill-flash metering, second curtain syncing, preflash red eye reduction and a 1/4000 FP fast sync. Previous Nikon Speedlight flashes were not capable of supporting these advancements and the SB-25 was released to address that gap. It also offers great backward compatibility with older Nikon AF and non-AF SLR cameras and is a versatile and powerful flash unit overall. It boasts a GN of 118. It has a bounce/swivel head for easy redirection of the flash burst. The bounce can be adjusted from -7° to 90°.
