The Leica Z2X is an elegant, little compact point and shoot 35mm camera with an autofocus 35-70mm f4-7.6 Vario-Elmar lens. The camera uses program auto exposure to automatically calculate and set exposures and a built-in flash activates when light levels drop too low. While the control layout is very simplistic (only four buttons atop the camera plus the zoom toggle) the Z2X does feature a few nifty modes and features. Included are EV compensation, self-timer, manual flash on/off, slow shutter speed w/flash (up to 99 seconds) and red eye reduction. As can be expected, the Vario-Elmar lens on the Z2X offers good image contrast and great sharpness.
