The Nikon 28mm f2 Nikkor-N.C is a manual focus, wide angle lens that Nikon originally introduced for their Nikon F system for photographers needing a wider focal length than 35mm while also maintaining a fast maximum aperture. With a max aperture of f2.0, this 28mm excels in low light conditions - especially those where quarters are cramped or groups of people need to be photographed. This lens has a 52mm filter thread.
This lens was originally a Non-AI lens, but has been modified for use on cameras which accept AI lenses. Therefore it is appropriate for a variety of Nikon camera bodies without the Auto Indexing tab, such as the Nikon F, some F2 bodies, and some Nikkormats, as well as later Nikon F mount cameras such as the FE2 and F3.
