The Contax RTS is a manual focus 35mm SLR camera manufactured by Yashica and introduced in the early 1970s. It was a collaboration between Yashica, Carl Zeiss and F. Alexander Porsche Group to create a prestigious and professional-grade SLR camera. The RTS features a cloth focal plane shutter with speeds ranging from 1s to 1/2000, plus Bulb. The user can interchange lenses and focusing screens and the RTS is able to accept a number of other accessories such as a motor drive, power winder or infrared remote release. The RTS also has an electronic self-timer, exposure compensation, depth of field preview and mirror lock up.
The RTS requires a single 28A/4SR44 battery to power all functions.
