The Pentax AF-500 FTZ is an electronic zoom flash capable of covering lenses as wide as 24mm and a built-in spot beam. While it is optimized for TTL use on Pentax Z series camera systems, it will work with reduced functionality on any camera with a hot-shoe. This flash must be set to ML or MH modes in order to fire on cameras without TTL capability. The Pentax AF-500 FTZ has a guide number of 50 (ISO 100 in meters with a 85mm lens).
This flash unit requires four AA Batteries to function.
