The Nikon 18mm f3.5 Nikkor is an incredibly wide angle lens for Nikon SLR cameras. Released in 1982, the 18mm f3.5 replaced the previous 18mm f4 Nikkor. It features an improved optical construction with 11 elements in 10 groups and much better close range correction with a minimum focusing distance of 25cm (10in). It is one of the widest rectilinear manual focus lenses available for Nikon SLR cameras. It uses 72mm filters.
This lens was released specifically with the AIS version of the Nikon F lens mount. It features greatest compatibility with Nikon AIS cameras but is still backward compatible with Nikon AI and Non-AI cameras as well.
