The Nikon 300mm f4 ED also features a built-in, retractable lens hood, rotating tripod socket, filter holder for 39mm filters, a graduated ring for preselected distances, an easily-gripped mode switch for auto or manual focus, and a wide focusing ring for when in manual focus mode.
