The Nikon F-301 is a manual focus, 35mm SLR camera that when introduced in 1985 helped usher in a new generation of more advanced Nikon SLR cameras. While not an autofocus camera, the F-301 offered several other advanced features. It was the first major Nikon camera to have a built-in motor drive that offered continuous shooting up to 2.5 fps. It also includes two different Program auto exposure modes, aperture priority auto exposure and metered manual exposure. The F-301 also has exposure compensation, an auto exposure memory lock, an excellent focusing screen with a split prism for fast, easy manual focusing, TTL flash compatibility, and DX code capability.
This camera requires four AAA batteries for all functions.
The Nikon F-301 is the same camera as the Nikon N2000.
