The Leica IIIa was produced beginning in 1935 and was the most common of the pre-War Leica rangefinders. It is similar to the earlier Leica III version but with the addition of a top shutter speed of 1/1000th.
As with other Leica rangefinder cameras of this generation the IIIa uses the M39 screw-mount lenses. It has separate rangefinder and viewfinder windows, and film is loaded in through the base of the camera.
This camera comes with third party leather half case. Non-factory PC sync port.
