This Pentax ZX-50 is an autofocus, 35mm SLR camera. The camera is simple and easy to use while offering a versatile array of features. It has several exposure modes including Program (with scene-specific sub-modes), Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual. Shutter speeds range from 30 seconds to a top speed of 1/2000. There is a built-in flash as well as a hot shoe for additional flashes. The ZX-50 has a built-in motorized film advance and rewind and can provide continuous shooting as fast as 2 fps.
This camera is best used with Pentax PK-AF lenses. Standard, manual focus, PK lenses will still mount but aperture will not stop down and they will be used at maximum aperture always.
This camera requires two CR2 batteries for power. It is also known as the Pentax MZ-50 in other world markets.
