This is a Hasselblad Red R25 filter. Colored filters are used for both tonal separation as well as contrast control with black and white film. A red filter offers a significant increase in contrast while darkening blue and green tones toward black and lightening reds and oranges toward white. This can create dramatic landscapes and portraiture. Additionally the red R25 is a popular choice for use with infrared sensitive films to produce a modest infrared look while being easier to use than the typical R72 filter.
This filter has a Bay 60 filter ring and is appropriate for later Hasselblad "CF" lenses that have Prontor shutters and Bay 60 filter mounts.
