First introduced in 1979, the Nikon 15mm f3.5 was a much more compact successor to the earlier f5.6 version. It is a manual focus, ultra wide angle lens. Despite the bulbous front element, this lens is a rectilinear, as opposed to fish eye, wide angle meaning lines remain straight instead of bowed. It is a handy lens for architectural or real estate photography as well as landscapes, skateboarding/snowboarding, or any other situation benefitting from an extremely wide angle field of view.
