The famed Canon 50mm f0.95 is an ultra-fast 50mm lens originally made for the Canon rangefinder cameras. It has one of the fastest maximum apertures of any lens ever made at f0.95. This has made the Canon 50mm f0.95 a highly sought after lens for portraiture due to the extremely shallow depth of field and slightly softer look it renders. This specific look, along with the lenses rarity, have earned the nickname "The Dream Lens".
This lens has been adapted with a Leica M lens mount. It will work on Leica M film and digital rangefinder cameras.
Due to the fast nature of this lens, great care should be taken when used on a Leica rangefinder camera. It is highly recommended to keep the lens cap on the lens at all times to prevent focused sunlight coming through the lens and burning holes in the camera shutter curtain.
