The Contax 645 is a legendary medium format, auto focus camera system. It is considered by some to be the best medium format camera ever made due to its combination of build quality, optical performance and array of features. The Contax 645 is an AF, modular SLR. The Contax 645 boasts lenses made by Carl Zeiss, with their T* multicoating, that deliver some of the best image quality possible. The Contax 645 also includes such features as TTL light metering located in the body of the camera (metering is not dependent upon the attached finder), TTL flash metering with compatible flashes, pre-flash TTL metering, top shutter speed of 1/4000, flash sync speed of 1/125, auto-bracketing, mirror lock-up, AE lock, multiple exposure modes, single and continuous drive modes, 2 or 10 second self timer, multiple exposures, single or continuous autofocus, and depth of field preview. The Contax 645 is also incredibly modular with the ability to change lenses, film backs and finders as needed.
