This high quality B+W circular polarizer is perfect for lenses with 62mm filter threads. The B+W next-generation HTC filters utilize a proprietary layer of specially selected, high-transmission polarizing foil, which reduces light loss to just 1-1.5 stops making them work much better in low light situations compared to other polarizing filters which can cut as much as 2.5 stops of light. In addition, this polarizer has B+W's MRC Nano coatings which excel at repelling both water and dust, with the former more easily rolling off the glass of the filter instead of streaking across it.
A polarizing filter is one of the most useful filters to have on a lens. It cuts polarized light allowing for deeper color saturation or richer contrast. It is most commonly used in color photography but can also work with B&W photography. The filter has a rotating ring that allows the user to adjust the amount of polarization desired, ranging from full effect to no effect at all.
This is a circular polarizer designed for use with autofocus lenses without interfering with their ability to focus automatically. It can still be used with manual focus lenses as well.
