This Nikon 24-120mm f3.5-5.6 D AF Nikkor is an autofocus, zoom lens designed for Nikon autofocus SLR cameras, with moderate backward compatibility on Nikon manual focus SLR cameras. It offers a wide range of focal lengths from a very wide angle 24mm out to a moderate telephoto 120mm. This allows this lens to be useful in a number of photographic scenarios. This is a great travel lens due to its versatile zoom range. It remains quite compact and lightweight. It uses a 72mm filter thread and has bayonet fittings for the HB-11 lens hood. This lens also has D compatibility with advance camera meters that allows the lens to provide the camera focusing distance to help determine proper exposure.
