The Nikon 20mm f2.8 D AF Nikkor is an ultra wide angle, autofocus lens designed for Nikon AF SLR or DSLR cameras. The autofocus version of the 20mm f2.8 shares the same optical design as the earlier manual focus version. It provides an incredibly wide 94° field of view that is great for epic landscapes, tight interiors, architectural work, or dramatic close action photography (think skateboarding). The lens has a close focus distance of a mere 10 inches. It uses a 62mm filter thread and has a bayonet fitting for the HB-4 lens hood.
The D version adds additional ability for advanced camera meters to use the focus distance from the lens for calculating exposure.
