The Calumet CC-401 is a 4x5 rail camera suited for large format studio work. The CC-401 features a 26" rail with 16" bellows making it suitable for a wide variety of lenses. Additionally the CC-401 has geared front rise/fall capable of 3 inches of rise or one inch of fall. It can achieve 30 degrees of front tilt forward or backward off a center axis. There is manual front shift of 22mm in both directions and 12 degrees of front swing. All movements are duplicated in the rear standard except for rise/fall. The film holder can rotate between landscape and portrait orientations. The ground glass is not removable and the CC-401 is not compatible with Graflok accessories. The CC-401 uses a 4 inch square lens board.
