This Hasselblad linear polarizing filter is an extremely useful filter and a welcome addition to any camera. Polarizing filters work by blocking polarized light. This effectively cuts white glare reflecting off objects in your scene, allowing deeper and richer color saturation. Washed out skies become much bluer, green foliage becomes greener, reflections off the surface of glass or water disappear. These filters are most popular with color landscape photography, but can be used with a variety of subject matter and with B&W photography as well.
Linear polarizers are best used with manual focus lenses (or autofocus lenses set to manual) as they can block the IR beams used by autofocus lens systems.
This Hasselblad Linear Polarizer has a B60 mount and is appropriate for Hasselblad lenses that use Bay 60 filters. This filter has a 3x filter factor in regard to exposure.
